What
we’ll do in Seiyuu Practice ?? well, based by information I got from sources,
this is our “To-do list”:
1. Pull
yourself together
It’s
obvious thing that you have to be brave. You don’t want worry, scared, shy, and
other negative emotions ruining your acting and your voice, right ?? much or
less, I felt the same thing, and it’s not good at all. Try to beat yourself
first, and work hard. Show the others that you love seiyuu and you like to do
it.
2. Language
Either
it’s Japanese, Indonesian, English, etc, try to learn the language that you
want, even just step by step, because language is vital for voice acting. So,
choose the language that you want to do in voice acting. Oh yes, language also
important for learning articulation, accent and intonation.
3. Voice
Don’t be
shy with your own voice. Every voice is good and there must be some differences.
You can try to imitate your favorite character in anime or game first, just
keep like that, and maybe you can find your own character in your voice. Just take it slowly but sure, hoho.
4.
Acting
Voice
Acting. It means you have to voice over and act to a character. Act isn’t just
pretending to be a character, but also you have to imagining your act to
character, you have to feel it and make it alive. So, imagination also plays a
role in acting. In Kami Voice drama, Mamo just said “We can’t do complain to
every roles that given to us. Don’t say impossible at first, all you have to do
just try it and see how it works, just imagine it by yourself.”
5.
Exercise
This is
also important, maintaining a voice. You know, people's throat must be different,
there are strong throat and weak throat, but in voice acting, we need to
strengthen our throat so that we can convey our voice better. I don’t know
maybe there are other way how to overcome it, but I just know we need to do
exercise. Either it’s body exercise or vocal exercise. Body exercise also
important for perspiration systems, how to set a better breath, or how to get
more power in our voice. Put it simply, you can do some dancing if you like to
dance, or do other sports, or running.
Well,
that’s it. I didn’t know either it’s 100% accurate or not, because I’m not the
expert, just an amateur. Yeah, that’s all what I done until now, just doing
what I can do to practicing seiyuu. :)
I think there's other knowledge about seiyuu more, that's include procedure of recording in the booth.
